On 27 January, an eight-course fireworks menu in Man Wah priced at HKD1,188. Other excellent firework viewing points include M bar, include one glass of champagne cover charge HKD208 between 7pm and 10pm, Pierre also offers a tasting menu priced at HKD1,588. The Clipper Lounge offers a fireworks dinner buffet at HKD488 per adult, HKD288 per child.

Pierre Gagnaire returns to his Hong Kong restaurant from 16 to 21 February with a new menu worthy of its Michelin star. This spectacular five-course dinner menu includes dishes created to excite all five senses. Lovingly prepared by the master himself, the Five Senses menu is priced at HKD 1,688 + 10% per person and is available daily from 7 to 10:30 pm. (last order).

Chef Luciano Parolari from Villa d’Este, one of Lake Como’s top restaurants, presents a full menu of Italian classics in The Chinnery from 10 to 14 February. The “King of Risotto” will host a cooking class for 12 people on Saturday 14 February. This perfect Valentine’s gift for true gourmands is priced at HKD 988+10% per person. Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong announces the arrival of Emerald Jade, performing at The Captain’s Bar from 5 January. Ably supported by Craig Monroe on the keyboards, Emerald performs an upbeat blend of jazzy pop, neo-soul and old-school Rhythm and Blues every evening from 9pm to 1am Mondays to Thursdays and from 9pm to 1:45am on Fridays and Saturdays.
