Zagat-World’s Top Hotels. Resorts & Spas, 2007/2008
This classically elegant Neo-Renaissance hotel has just completed a full refurbishment under designer Peter Remedios, and yes, it is now even more beautiful; Mandarin’s discreet touches of Asian heritage serving to highlight a corridor here, a bar snack there and the cut of a cheong-sam uniform in the restaurant. Wonderfully located in a luxe little side street full of bijou boutiques and antique shops, it is right off the famed retail paradise of Maximilianstrasse and serves as a true home away from home for those in search of culture, sightseeing and retail lures, as well as catering to the up-scale business traveller. With just 53 rooms and 20 suites, this is by far the best boutique property in Munich,… The Asian generosity of spirit really shines here and it was the only hotel we stayed in that put fruit in every room. The Mandarin Bar is filled with cushy russet and gold sofas and leather armchairs, and a glass of Champagne or a light lunch here feels just like being at home. The ambience is softer and more appealing, especially in the evening, whilst Mario Corti’s exceptional Michelin-starred cuisine is, without doubt, the best in Munich. It is worth journeying here just to taste a morsel;… The Oriental Suite, although not huge, is absolutely exquisite, with its charming terrace and uniquely residential style. In the summer months, the small rooftop pool a bar-café open and the stunning 180° view of Munich’s endless church spires draws the crowds. Service at the Mandarin is on a different plane. Staff is hugely professional yet extremely approachable,….
A small but truly five-star hotel where staff consistently go out of their way to make you feel at home. Rooms in parchment and blue come with silk chairs and wool sofas you want to melt into. Take a dip in the rooftop pool, which offers 360 degree city views. Conde Nast Traveler, US – January 2007

Opened in 2006, this converted 14th-century monastery in the Little Quarter, near the Charles Bridge, combines the tranquility of its former life with unobtrusive service and subtle luxury:… Conde Nast Traveller-UK, May 2008.
There’s nothing monastic about a retreat to this newly opened hotel, set in a restored 14th-century abbey in the Mala Strana; the inspired renovation of its historical architecture is sure to intrigue: there are baroque arches and Oriental silks in rooms, vaulted ceilings in a sophisticated EurAsian restaurant, afternoon tea service among the columns of a cloister corridor and sinfully divine spa treatments on the site of a Renaissance chapel. Zagat-World’s Top Hotels. Resorts & Spas, 2007/2008
